8 ways to make money online at home in 2022 (in 15-minute windows)
I am going to go over 8 freelancing jobs you can list on sites like Fiverr or Upwork and manage in 15 minute spurts from home. I have a lot of parents reach out to me and tell me they want to freelance, but they aren’t sure how to schedule their time with kids at home. So fear not, we will look at some obvious and not so obvious freelancing side gigs you can be doing from the comfort of your living room.
Social Media Graphics
Ok first up, we have graphics and design using Canva. You do not need to be versed in a special graphics and design software to sell basic gigs on Fiverr. If you like to play around with fonts and color, you can use regular Canva or Canva plus to do everything from make social media graphics like Pinterest pin covers and YouTube banner heads, to email and PDF designs. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve hired on fiverr to make me graphics when I am pressed for time. Here are some examples of these gigs you can be offering. They look like they start around $15 to $25 and go up into the hundreds.
Marketing Advice
Next, do you have some experience at a 9 to 5 providing any kind of marketing service, from knowing google ads to excel, or growing on instagram? You can now offer mentorship and consulting on Fiverr starting at just 30 minutes per session.
Beta Reading
Next we have one of my favorites, beta reading! This is when an author has you do a read through to point out any plot holes and give your overall impression of the book. You can read for 15 minute windows over a few days, get the book done, and work with the buyer. Plus you get to read books for fun!
Transcription
Next we have transcription, which is taking an audio or video file and creating a clean sheet of copy that the buyer can use. This Is easy to do, you can use otter.ai to start it for you, then go in and clean it up. Similar to offering an editing or proofreading gig as well if you’re a stickler for grammar.
File Conversion
Are you big into file organization? You can literally convert files from one format to another for clients on Fiverr.
Virtual Assistant
You can be a virtual assistant for anything. One thing that specifically jumped out to me is providing customer support for online businesses.
Online Shopper
You can be people’s online shoppers. Yes, you can look up clothing for clients based on their measurements, style preference, etc. You can get paid to shop.
Video Game Coaching
For the video game lovers, you can provide video game hacks, information, and chat in discord servers for clients on Fiverr.
These are just 8 of the 550 different services offered on JUST Fiverr! There are so many other sites you guys can check out. To sign up on a Fiverr, you just need access to the internet and your ID for verification. That’s it. As I always say, you can use Starbucks wifi if you can’t afford your own right now.
