You are a multi passionate human being

I believe one of the reasons the depression/anxiety/suicide stats are through the roof today in 2022 is because people are living outside of their divine purposes. Office jobs are forcing people into grey boxes for 35 years with people they don’t even like. People are working jobs they hate to pay their bills. Their jobs dress them like clones, demonizing any ounce of individuality. Creative expression is repressed. Compliance is championed. You get the picture.
Now, it’s not exactly like school encourages us to work multiple jobs in a lifetime. It’s all about getting that one job and finding that one career. We’re even expected to pick a major by age 18. How the hell does anyone know their passions by age 18? All of this stress exhausts people into office jobs that are safe enough to put food on the table - I totally get it.
Acceptance is the First Step
I am here to tell you that society, school, corporations got it all wrong. You will never feel fulfilled as a person if you do not accept that you are a multi passionate entity. You were made to love multiple things. You were made to do multiple things in this lifetime. You were made to do things you couldn’t even dream up right now.
Did you ever think I knew I’d be the freelancer girl at age 25? I couldn’t have thought that up if I tried. God had other plans. You know what they say, we plan and God laughs. God made you with so much more than you are giving yourself credit for. He made you to love dozens and dozens of different things. You may love playing the flute, accounting, Star Wars, cooking, traveling, and helping elderly people. Yet, you are just working one accounting job right now because it’s all your soul can take. You are cutting yourself off from you 9 other passions. You feel unfulfilled because you are only satisfying 1/10th of your soul. This is your soul we are talking about here! Why would we settle for anything less than 10/10 for our freakin soul?
Now I know some of you are thinking… but Alex, I don’t know what my passions are. It’s because you have never given yourself the opportunity to go find them. I only knew freelancing was a passion of mine once I tried it. It wasn’t a passion of mine before I tried it! I have crazy dreams, but my foresight isn’t that good!! Everything I am doing and love in my life today is because I went ahead and tried it with 0 prior passion for it. You have to try all sorts of things to know what sets your soul on fire.
That’s why I am such a huge freelance proponent. It allows you to try all different skills and business management requirements, from customer service, to time management. You are going to learn sooooo much about yourself you never would have with a manager micromanaging your every move. One thing will lead to another, and you will know more about what your soul needs in just 3 months freelancing than you would 30 years at a corporation.
The Trick of the Corporate Safety Net
Corporations prey on your defeated-ness in their business model. They know you won’t go anywhere because they give you just enough to invest in retirement. They give you some benefits. They give you just enough vacation days where you don’t feel like you’re going too crazy - just a medium amount of crazy.
None of them want you to know you are a person who is going to work/fill different roles your entire lives. I hope I work 8-10 different jobs in my life. How fun and exciting does that sound? I hope I volunteer, open sanctuaries, write 20 books, learn how to DJ, and do this in the meantime. That’s just my short list! Thee’s nothing wrong with having a huge list of interests and passions. That makes you a vibrant and incredible human. Dream more, find more interests, try more things. You will never feel completely content on planet earth if you don’t acknowledge that you were made to be more than you are currently giving yourself credit for. Never apologize for what you’re passionate about it. Own it. By owning it, you’ll inspire everyone in your life to own it, too. It’s a chain energetic reaction
